My dream is to perform at Te Matatini: I have been trialling for 5 years

Te Matatini is the Olympics of kapa haka. Many rangatahi are vying for a position to perform at Te Matatini but only a select few will make the team.

Ohinga spoke to some young ones trying to make the team, and the experts who select them, about what it’s like to trial for your dream kapa haka team.
