There are 125 new community cases today. 118 are in Auckland, four in Waikato, one in Northland and two in Christchurch.

74 of these cases are linked and 51 remain under investigation.

The two new cases in Christchurch today are from a single household, and linked to the cases from earlier this week. There are now a total of four active cases in Christchurch.

People in the Canterbury region are encouraged to keep checking the locations of interest, and to get tested if they have any symptoms, no matter how mild.

The national vaccination rate of the eligible population is now at 87 percent for first doses, and 73 percent for second doses.
