Today there are 109 new Covid cases in the community.

103 of today’s cases are in Auckland, two are in Northland and four are in Waikato (including two cases that were announced last night).

There are 35 people in hospital, with one of those people in Waikato and the rest in Auckland. The average age of people in hospital is 42 years old. Five people are in intensive care.

62 of today’s new cases are not currently linked to other known cases, and are under investigation. 

87 percent of eligible New Zealanders have now gotten their first dose of the vaccine, a total of 3,643,337 people. 71 percent of the eligible population has had their second dose.
