A group of Muslim New Zealanders gather in the Shakib family’s home for prayer, and to break their Ramadan fast together. They reflect on the many facets of their experiences as Muslim Kiwis, from what fasting means to them, to the impact the Christchurch attacks had on their lives. Hear these young kiwis talk about how they show their love through “force feeding” their guests, and how the nation’s response to the Christchurch mosque shootings felt like “a big middle finger to racism.”
