Today is Super Saturday and that means the focus is all on getting out and getting vaccinated to protect against Covid-19. Watch the Vaxathon on the Re: Facebook page to keep up with what’s happening around the motu.

The target is 100,000 vaccinations in the day. Just after 1pm the number of vaccinations had already reached 70,000.

There are 41 new community cases today, 40 in Auckland and one in Waikato.

21 cases are unlinked to known clusters. There are 124 cases unlinked in the last two weeks. 

There are two new cases in recent arrivals at the border. 

There are 31 people in hospital, six of them in ICU or HDU. 

Today’s numbers were released in a statement by Ministry of Health.

Wastewater testing has shown positive results in Raglan, Beachlands, Wellsford and Pukekohe. People in these areas are advised to get tested.
