There are 16 new cases today, all in Auckland.

One of the cases tested positive after visiting Waitākere Hospital in West Auckland on Friday. The person has been discharged and is now in a quarantine facility. Officials say the risk to other patients and staff at the hospital is low.

Currently 3 of the cases are unlinked to existing cases and under investigation.

The total number of cases is now 1146. Of those, 920 are recovered.

There are 13 people are in hospital, with 4 in ICU. 

There is also 1 new historical case in a recent returnee in MIQ.
