Today there are 90 new cases of Covid-19.

Of these, three are in Northland, 71 are in Auckland, nine in Waikato, five in Bay of Plenty, and one each in Lakes and Nelson Tasman.

There are 74 people in hospital, with six of those people in intensive care or high dependency units.

The average age of people currently in hospital is 51.

94 percent of New Zealand's eligible population have had the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, 88 percent have had a second dose.

85 percent of Māori nationally have had the first dose, 73 percent have had a second dose.

There have been nearly four million vaccine pass downloads, including 82,097 in the last 24 hours.
