There are 29 new cases of Covid-19 today.

Of these, two are in Northland, 11 are in Auckland, one in Western Bay of Plenty, 14 in Rotorua and one in Wellington. 

There are 29 people in hospital, with two of those people in intensive care or high dependency units.

The average age of people currently in hospital is 47.

There are 25 new cases at the border.

95 percent of New Zealand's eligible population have had the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, and 93 percent have had a second dose. There have been 719,966 booster doses administered. 

An Auckland MIQ worker tested positive yesterday afternoon during routine testing. Authorities are investigating whether the infection came from the facility they were working at or the community.
