There are 142 new cases of Covid-19 today.

Of these, 11 are in Northland, 103 are in Auckland, 12 in Waikato, 2 in the Lakes District, 5 in the Bay of Plenty, 3 in Taranaki, 1 in Hawke's Bay, 2 in Nelson Marlborough and 3 in Canterbury. 

There are 6 people in hospital, no one is in intensive care or high dependency units.

The average age of people currently in hospital is 57.

96 percent of New Zealand's eligible population have had the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, and 94 percent have had a second dose.

There have been 5,013,989 vaccine pass downloads, including 13,945 in the last 24 hours.

There were 38,332 booster doses administered yesterday, taking the total to date to 1,362,811. 

8,636 paediatric doses were given yesterday, bringing the total to 177,964.
