There are 454 new cases of Covid-19 today.

Of these, 12 are in Northland, 294 in Auckland, 72 in Waikato, 23 in Bay of Plenty, 8 in Lakes, 7 in Hawke’s Bay, 5 in MidCentral, 1 in Taranaki, 5 in Wellington, 12 in Hutt Valley, 2 in Wairarapa and 13 in Southern.

There are 27 people in hospital, with none in intensive care. 

The average age of people currently in hospital is 52.

96 percent of New Zealand's eligible population have had the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, 95 percent have had a second dose and 58 percent have had a booster.

Yesterday afternoon, New Zealand's 10 millionth vaccine dose was given. 

There are 8 new cases identified at the border. 

There are two active cases in South Canterbury. One of these was confirmed after the cut-off time and will appear in tomorrow's figures. 

A Tekapo restaurant has been added to the locations of interest. Anyone who was at Mackenzies Cafe Bar & Grill between 5.00pm – 5.45pm on Sunday 6 February is being told to stay home and get tested, and record your visit online or call Healthline.
