Of today’s 94 new community cases, 87 are in Auckland and 7 are in Waikato

53 are yet to be linked to a current case, however all 7 cases in Waikato have been linked to the outbreak. Health Director General Dr Ashley Bloomfield also said of all the Waikato cases, only 2 remain unlinked. Investigations are ongoing. 

Of yesterday’s 60 cases, 19 remain unlinked.

There are 38 people in hospital, all in Auckland. 5 are in the ICU or high dependency unit. 

The total number of cases in the community outbreak is now 2099. Of those, 1384 have recovered.
