There are 5,745 new cases of Covid-19 today.

15 people with Covid-19 have died, bringing the publicly reported total to date to 973.

13 of the deaths reported today are people who have died over the past two days, and two people who have died since 7 May.

Two people were in their 50s, one in their 70s; nine in their 80s and three were aged over 90.

The total number of active cases is 53,241.

The Ministry of Health defines active cases as those identified in the last seven days and not yet classified as recovered.

There are 384 people in hospital, with 8 of those people in intensive care or high dependency units.

The average age of people currently in hospital is 60.
