“Mā te huruhuru ka rere te manu; with adorned feathers the bird will fly.”

After experiencing the hardships of poverty, Māhera Maihi founded the youth organisation, Mā Te Huruhuru, so that no other kid would have to endure that same struggle.

With the added pressures of lockdown, the team at Mā Te Huruhuru have been working hard to ensure their rangatahi get the support, food and necessities they need to get through.
