Today there are 11 new cases, all in Auckland.

Two of those cases remain unlinked to known cases and are still being investigated.

This brings the total number of cases in this outbreak to 1,007.

Of those, 549 people have recovered.

Public health officials are investigating a case of a Covid-positive truck driver who travelled from Auckland to Waikato and the Bay of Plenty as part of his work in supermarket freight delivery.

The truck driver and a member of his household have been moved to a managed isolation facility.

He travelled in his work capacity to a number of supermarkets in Auckland, Waikato and the Bay of Plenty.

Locations of interest will be updated throughout today. You can check the list here on the Ministry of Health website.

Director of Public Health Dr Caroline McElnay says the driver wore a mask and maintained social distancing.

Delivery areas are not accessible to the public, and the supermarket staff in close proximity to the driver have been stood down. She says at no time do drivers enter the shop floors as part of delivery or pick up.
